The IT Support Technician will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including: Hardware and Peripherals Diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading desktop and laptop computers. Performing preventative maintenance on workstations and peripherals. Troubleshooting and resolving basic issues with printers, scanners, and other office equipment. Software and Technical Support Providing first- and second-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person. Installing, configuring, and supporting operating systems and a variety of business software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, etc.). Managing remote support sessions to diagnose and resolve issues for off-site or inaccessible users. Assisting users with password resets, account management, and access control. Networking and Security Performing basic network troubleshooting (e.g., checking cable connections, verifying IP configuration, resolving Wi-Fi issues). Assisting with the setup and basic maintenance of CCTV security systems and related software. Required Qualifications and Skills Proven experience in a desktop support, help desk, or IT technician role. Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing PC and laptop hardware components. Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, IP addressing, cabling). Familiarity with remote desktop tools (e.g., TeamViewer, Anydesk, Ultraviewer). Experience with the setup, troubleshooting, and support of CCTV or IP camera systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.
