Job Title: Drum Faculty Location: The Goa Jazz Academy, Goa, India Job Type: Part -Time Reports To: Academic Head Job Summary The Drum faculty at The Goa Jazz Academy will be responsible for curricular activities such as private classes and program classes, and non-curricular activities such as curriculum design, jam sessions with students, and student showcases. Key Responsibilities · Proactively contribute to the development of the Drum department. · Conduct and organise online/offline classes punctually and rigorously. · Coordinate with students and other faculty to ensure school’s operational efficiency. · Develop and implement the Drum curriculum, including technique, repertoire, and ensemble performance. · Participate in student jams and student showcases. Qualifications · Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience. · At least 2 years of performance experience. Musical Skills and Competencies · Fluency in music reading/writing (including drum notation). · Ability to create and adapt teaching materials. · Familiarity with jazz is a bonus but not mandatory. Personal Skills and Competencies · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Proficiency with online learning management platforms. · Strong organisational and project management abilities. · Creative and innovative thinking. Job Requirements · Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed for special events. · Availability to spend working hours on campus outside class time for non-curricular activities and school-development projects.
