Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Social Studies

Salary:

₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications)

Experience Required:

1–2 years teaching experience preferred

Education Qualification:

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) with a graduation in History, Geography, Political Science, or related Social Sciences subjects

Job Description:Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach Social Studies subjects (History, Civics, Geography, Economics) to middle and high school students (Classes 6–10).
• Prepare lesson plans in alignment with the school's curriculum and CBSE/State Board standards.
• Conduct classroom activities, assessments, and examinations to monitor student progress.
• Encourage critical thinking, debate, and awareness of civic responsibilities among students.
• Create a positive learning environment that fosters academic growth and social development.
• Use innovative teaching methods including audio-visual aids and digital tools, where applicable.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Maintain records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, and school events.
• Assist with co-curricular activities and school functions.
• Follow school rules, disciplinary systems, and reporting protocols.

Skills Required:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills (in English and Marathi/Hindi, as applicable)
• Strong classroom management
• Knowledge of modern pedagogy and use of educational technology
• Ability to connect social studies topics to real-life situations
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
