TGT English Teacher

A TGT English Teacher plans and delivers engaging lessons on English language and literature (grammar, reading, writing, comprehension) for middle/secondary students (Classes 6-10), focusing on skill development, creating positive learning environments, assessing progress, providing feedback, collaborating with staff, and communicating with parents, often requiring a B.Ed. and degree in English. Key duties include lesson planning, classroom management, grading, remedial sessions, extracurricular involvement, and professional development. Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Develop and implement lesson plans for English language, grammar, literature (fiction, poetry), reading, writing, and comprehension.
• Student Engagement: Foster a love for English, encourage discussion, use varied strategies, and support diverse learning needs.
• Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student work (assignments, exams), provide constructive feedback, maintain records, and track progress.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and effective learning environment, manage crises, and resolve conflicts.
• Collaboration: Work with other teachers, HOD, and administration; participate in meetings and professional development.
• Parent Communication: Consult with parents regarding student performance and development.
• Extracurriculars: Organize and participate in school events, competitions, and activities.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's in English/Arts + B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education).
• Language: Excellent command of English (written & spoken).
• Classroom: Strong classroom management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Tech: Computer proficiency.
• Professional: Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new methods.
