Job Description

You will be responsible for performing tests in strict compliance, guiding other testers, and assisting test leads. Your main tasks will include constructing test scenarios and systematic test cases based on customer user stories or requirements, executing test cases, ensuring that components or systems perform as expected, documenting test results and reporting defects, facilitating changes based on lessons learned, and developing proficiency of other testers on the project. Your performance will be measured based on the timely completion of tasks, the number of requirement/user story ambiguities logged, requirement/user story coverage, the number of test cases/script developed and executed compared to benchmarks, as well as the number of valid defects identified. You will be expected to participate in requirements management activities, understand and review domain relevance, report test activities of a small team, estimate time and resources for work performed, manage knowledge by consuming and contributing, and design, develop, and execute tests effectively. Your skills are expected to include the ability to review user stories/requirements, design test cases/scripts, apply techniques to design efficient test cases/scripts, set up test data, execute tests, and identify anomalies accurately. Additionally, you should have knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, types of testing, testing processes, and testing standards. UST is seeking an experienced QA professional with excellent communication skills to join the engineering team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in test design, test analysis, troubleshooting, and application development using Java technologies. Responsibilities include working with the scrum team to identify testing needs, developing a QA testing strategy, creating automated test frameworks and cases, executing tests, and conducting technical reviews. Requirements for this role include a BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, strong communication skills, expertise in QA methodologies, 5+ years of software engineering testing experience, 2+ years of experience with Selenium and Cucumber, knowledge of API testing, cloud architectures, Java/J2EE concepts, Selenium WebDriver, CI/CD using Jenkins, and manual testing. You should have proficiency in Selenium, Cucumber, API testing, and Selenium WebDriver to excel in this role.,
