We are seeking a zOS QA and Testing specialist/Infrastructure Engineer to: - Ensure a quality gateway for Mainframe Infrastructure requirements - Guarantee completeness, testability, and resource consumption based on Production readiness criteria's (PRC) in non-restricted environments - Identify performance and capacity trends in the Online & Batch area for non-restricted environments - Define measures in resource consumption and runtime behavior in non-restricted environments - Execute Performance management during test phases in non-restricted environments - Define the operation of our reporting infrastructure - Collect, maintain, and administrate our capacity and performance data - Develop capacity forecasts, resource usage charts, and trend reports - Ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions by applying digital principles and implementing functional and non-functional requirements - Incorporate observability into our solutions, monitor production health, assist in resolving incidents, and address the root cause of risks and issues - Stay abreast of new technologies and practices, leverage strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services catering to client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You will be part of the Mainframe as a Service team in Hyderabad, interacting with Engineering, Application Testing, Operations, and Developer teams. The team's focus is on ensuring good performance, system availability, and supporting Application releases in the Test Environments through the SDLC Process. You should possess: - 5+ years of experience in a similar position in zOS Mainframe - Strong knowledge in JCL, SQL, DB2, CICS, MQ, QA Testing - Familiarity with REXX - Hands-on experience in Batch QA Testing, Online Testing in non-functional areas - An analytical mindset and integrated thinking - Comfort working with data across various sources, shapes, and sizes - SDLC know-how - A university degree in computer science, management information systems, or relevant professional certifications - Background in the financial industry or similar enterprise - Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) - Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, self-driven, and fluent in English, with a motivation to work in a Global Team UBS is the world's largest and the only truly global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
