Test Engineer Embedded HW

As a Test Engineer Embedded HW at Yelahanka, Bangalore, your responsibilities will include: - Performing Verification & validation tests on electrical/electronic/electro-mechanical sub-systems to ensure compliance with functional specifications - Preparing and presenting detailed verification & validation test reports in accordance with documented test plans - Participating in test plan discussions to provide insights on failure modes and necessary corner case tests - Setting up tests including preparation of jigs, fixtures, automation/test scripts, and measurement modules - Conducting regression testing on design improvements and reporting on compliance to functional requirements - Ensuring safety requirements are implemented in the test environment - Reviewing design margins and providing insights on sub-system performance To be successful in this role, you are expected to: - Deliver comprehensive verification & validation test reports highlighting compliance to sub-system functional requirements - Independently review and provide feedback on the adequacy and accuracy of test plans and procedures - Conduct system level integration, efficiency, and safety tests for sub-systems - Review constructional features and provide technical reports against various requirements - Enhance the accuracy and efficiency of verification & validation tests through incremental automation - Communicate issues and non-conformances to the development team in a structured manner - Ensure compliance with documented processes and procedures Skills required for this role include: - B.Tech/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent - 4+ years of experience as a design verification & validation test engineer (automotive) - Hands-on experience in verification & validation tests on electrical/electronic/electro-mechanical sub-systems - Proficiency in using cross compilers, debug tools, and emulators - Knowledge of C/C++/Python programming languages - Experience with wired and wireless communication protocols - Skills in testing functional and regulatory aspects of communication protocols - Exposure to functional safety principles and engineering theory - Excellent testing, automation, and application skills - Strong oral and written communication abilities - Familiarity with test equipment usage and engineering documentation release processes - Understanding of safety standards and flammability regulations,
