Test Engineer, Automation

Role Overview: As a Test Automation Engineer/SDET at ValGenesis, you will be part of the cloud product engineering team responsible for developing next-generation applications for global customers. Your role will involve understanding business requirements, designing and coding aspects, setting up and maintaining test automation frameworks, and ensuring the quality, security, and performance of enterprise cloud products. Key Responsibilities: - Work collaboratively with a team of business analysts, developers, and SDETs to develop enterprise software applications. - Understand and translate business requirements into design and development/coding aspects. - Participate in the complete development life cycle of the products. - Setup, maintain, and operate test automation frameworks. - Conduct test automation on various application platforms such as Web and Mobile. - Create and manage test repository including scenarios, cases, steps, priorities, and categories. - Manage and involve in CI/CD specific activities. - Take ownership and be accountable for the quality and reliability of product deliverables. - Strive for self-excellence while contributing to the success of the team and stakeholders. - Utilize object-oriented design and coding skills in programming languages like C#, Python, and Javascript. - Conduct UI and API testing. - Build and implement automation frameworks, preferably Robo/Python based. - Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps methodologies. - Review code, write unit tests, and approach test outcomes with a programmer's mindset. - Understand distributed systems architecture, component layers, and algorithms. - Knowledge of Performance and Security testing tools/frameworks. Qualifications Required: - 2 to 6 years of experience in enterprise software product development lifecycle/phases. - Proficiency in object-oriented design and coding skills in Python and Javascript. - Experience in building and implementing UI and API automation frameworks. - Exposure to Agile, DevSecOps methodologies. - Ability to review code, write tests, and approach test outcomes with a programmer's mindset. - Understanding of distributed systems architecture, component layers, and algorithms. - Knowledge of Performance and Security testing tools/frameworks. - Experience or knowledge in pharma regulatory, quality, risk, process validation is preferable.
