Test Engineer 2

As a Test Engineer 2 at Hyland Software, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining moderately complex integration functional and non-functional tests using Python, PyTest/tox, etc. Your responsibilities will include contributing to automated test frameworks to ensure the holistic quality of the software. You will lead the verification of system functionality by executing automated and manual tests, analyzing results, providing recommendations, recording test outcomes, reporting defects, and results in the test repository. Additionally, you will contribute to the implementation of the delivery pipeline, including test automation, test environments, and security. Your role will involve performing manual testing tasks such as creating test cases and test plans. You will be responsible for following the peer code review process for test automation code, completing code reviews for peers, and incorporating feedback into automated tests. Verifying the performance and scalability of the system will also be a part of your responsibilities. As a successful candidate for this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a test engineer. You should possess experience in writing automated tests in TypeScript/JavaScript and be familiar with test automation tools like Python. Knowledge of all phases of the test lifecycle, software application testing tools, methodologies, process frameworks, test design, and continuous integration tools is essential for this role. Experience with source control systems, development on Windows/Linux platforms, scripting tools, build environments, delivery pipelines, programming, scripting, and database technology will be advantageous. Your good oral and written communication skills will demonstrate a professional demeanor, allowing you to interact with others with discretion and tact effectively.
