Test Automation Engineering Lead

As the Test Automation Engineering Lead at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in spearheading the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation, and ensuring unparalleled customer experiences. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing and implementing comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards. - Creating and executing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, PyTest, Robot Framework, Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria. - Conducting root cause analysis for identified defects and working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution. - Participating in code reviews, promoting a culture of code quality, and knowledge sharing within the team. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven experience in test automation for data engineering platforms (ETL, data lakes, data warehouses, Big Data, etc.). - Hands-on expertise with automation tools such as Selenium, PyTest, Robot Framework, Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar. - Strong programming/scripting skills in Python, Java, or Scala. - Deep understanding of data quality, data validation, and data governance principles in the banking sector. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills. - Knowledge of regulatory and security requirements in the banking domain. Additionally, highly valued skills include: - Experience with AI/ML model testing and validation. - Certifications in Test Automation, Data Engineering, or Cloud Technologies. - Prior experience in large-scale test transformation programs. This role will be based out of the Pune office.
