As a Senior Accounts Executive with 4 to 5 years of experience in Retail and Dispatch, your primary responsibilities will revolve around managing various financial aspects of the company. You will be tasked with handling tasks such as preparing trial balances, ensuring accurate recording of transactions in the general ledger, and reviewing and reconciling accounts for completeness and accuracy. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial reports to support decision-making processes. One of your key roles will involve handling foreign exchange transactions and converting foreign currency into local currency based on applicable exchange rates. You will be responsible for ensuring proper accounting for forex gain/loss, reconciling transactions with the bank, and monitoring significant fluctuations in exchange rates that may impact financial results. In terms of import working, you will manage and maintain records of all import transactions, including customs duties, shipping costs, and taxes. Your role will require you to ensure proper accounting for imports, reconcile related expenses and liabilities, and liaise with customs brokers, vendors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth import transactions. Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing and filing GST returns in compliance with statutory requirements, reconciling GST input and output for accuracy, and staying informed about changes in GST laws to ensure timely filing and avoid penalties. Similarly, you will also handle TDS returns, ensuring accurate and timely deduction, deposit, and filing of returns while coordinating with vendors, employees, and contractors for necessary details. As part of finalizing books of accounts, you will be expected to close books at the end of each financial period, prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow statements in adherence to accounting standards, and assist auditors during the year-end audit process. Additionally, you will maintain proper documentation for financial transactions, collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies, and stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory compliance requirements. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior position. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and forex transactions, proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, and MS Excel, attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure to meet deadlines are essential qualifications. While familiarity with import and export documentation and compliance, as well as experience in preparing financial statements for audits, are additional skills that would be beneficial.
