As a NOC Engineer at our Network Operations Center (NOC) in New Town, Kolkata, you will be an integral part of our team, utilizing your skills and experience to ensure the optimal performance of our telecommunication services. With a primary focus on Asterisk, VoIP, Linux systems, and networking, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our telephony platforms. Your role will require a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Asterisk, VoIP, and networking technologies. Proficiency in Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, or Debian is essential, along with a strong understanding of TCP/IP, SIP, NAT, PAT, and firewall configurations. Additionally, you should be well-versed in scripting languages like Bash, Perl, PHP, and Python, and have experience working with MySQL and MongoDB databases. In this position, you will be responsible for understanding and maintaining the architecture of telephony services, operating and expanding SIP proxies, and designing feature enhancements for telephony platforms. Your role will also involve providing Level 3 technical support, monitoring telephony traffic for performance issues, and responding promptly to system alerts to ensure high availability and reliability. Preferred skills for this role include over 5 years of experience in a relevant telecom/VoIP domain, familiarity with VoIP gateways/SBCs like OpenSIPS and Kamailio, and knowledge of telephony monitoring, alerting, and logging tools. An understanding of call routing, rating, and billing systems, as well as open-source telecom technologies and AI/ML applications, will be advantageous. To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities, and a positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams will be key to your success in optimizing system performance and ensuring the seamless operation of our telecommunication services.,
