Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VoIP and Data Administrator to manage and support the organization’s voice over IP (VoIP) systems and data networks. This role is responsible for maintaining the performance, integrity, and security of both telephony and data infrastructure, ensuring uninterrupted communication and data services across the organization. Key Responsibilities: VoIP Administration: Configure, install, and maintain VoIP systems, including PBX, IP phones, SIP trunks, and voicemail systems. Monitor and troubleshoot VoIP call quality, latency, jitter, and dropped calls. Administer VoIP platforms such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Asterisk, 3CX, Avaya, or similar. Manage call routing, auto-attendants, IVRs, and voicemail configurations. Ensure VoIP system security, applying firmware updates and mitigating vulnerabilities. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for support and escalations. Data Network Administration: Maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN infrastructure, switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. Monitor network performance, bandwidth usage, and ensure optimal uptime. Configure network hardware and software, including VLANs, VPNs, and QoS settings. Assist in planning and implementing network upgrades and expansions. Conduct regular backups of network and VoIP configurations. General IT and Support: Provide tier 2/3 support for VoIP and network-related incidents and service requests. Maintain documentation for network and telephony infrastructure, configurations, and procedures. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing. Ensure compliance with IT policies, data protection, and security standards. Train staff on the use of VoIP systems as needed. Requirements: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in VoIP and/or network administration. Experience with VoIP platforms (e.g., Cisco, 3CX, FreePBX, Avaya, etc.) Experience with network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, etc.) Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of SIP, RTP, QoS, and VoIP protocols. Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, routing, switching). Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG). Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Strong communication and documentation abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently. About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and motivated VoIP and Data Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, and maintaining Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions and data communication systems. You will also work on optimizing data networks to ensure high availability, security, and performance of voice and data services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both VoIP technologies and networking, with hands-on experience in supporting large-scale deployments. Key Responsibilities: VoIP Implementation & Support: Design, implement, and maintain VoIP systems and infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. Configure and manage VoIP servers (e.g., Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or similar) and ensure they integrate seamlessly with other communication systems. Monitor and troubleshoot VoIP networks and services to identify and resolve issues related to call quality, latency, jitter, and dropped calls.
