Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Develop
3D models
of steel structures using
Tekla Structures
as per project requirements.
Prepare and generate
GA drawings
,
erection drawings
,
shop drawings
, and
fabrication drawings
.
Create accurate
connections
,
assemblies
, and
component details
in the Tekla model.
Ensure models are compliant with
project specifications
,
codes
, and
standards
.
Coordinate with design engineers to interpret and incorporate structural design inputs.
Perform
clash detection
, resolve modeling issues, and ensure model accuracy.
Manage
revisions
, updates, and modification of models/drawings as per client comments.
Extract
BOQ
,
material lists
, and
reports
from Tekla models.
Ensure high quality and adherence to project timelines.
Collaborate with internal teams (design, detailing, production) for smooth project execution.
Maintain proper documentation and version control for all drawings and models.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma / B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
25 years of hands-on experience
in Tekla modeling for structural steel / PEB projects.
Strong knowledge of
PEB components
, steel detailing, and fabrication standards.
Ability to read and interpret
engineering drawings
, design calculations, and connection details.
Good understanding of international codes (AISC, BS, IS, etc.) is an added advantage.
Strong attention to detail, quality-focused, and ability to meet deadlines.
Good communication and coordination skills.
