Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune for a Solar Rooftop I&C Technician. The technician will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of solar power systems. Day-to-day tasks include system assembly, routing of wiring, equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and ensuring the quality of installations. The technician will collaborate with other team members to deliver projects on schedule. Qualifications Experience with Solar Systems and Solar Power Knowledge of the Solar Industry and Power Generation Skills in Troubleshooting and system maintenance Technical diploma or equivalent in Electrical or related field Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively Commitment to safety and quality standards RESPONSIBILITIES : Rooftop Solar Job Responsibilities Site Assessment & Feasibility Conduct rooftop surveys and shading analysis. Evaluate structural integrity and load capacity. System Design & Planning Collaborate with design teams to create optimal PV layouts. Ensure compliance with local electrical and safety codes. Installation Supervision: Oversee installation of solar panels, inverters, and BOS components. Ensure proper mounting, wiring, and electrical connections. Quality Assurance & Testing Perform system checks, insulation resistance testing, and commissioning. Verify performance through IV curve tracing and other diagnostics. Safety & Compliance Enforce safety protocols for rooftop work (PPE, harnesses, etc.). Ensure adherence to industry standards and local regulations. Documentation & Reporting Maintain installation logs, test reports, and client handover documents. Report project progress and issues to management. Client Coordination & Support: Communicate project timelines and updates to clients. Provide basic training on system usage and maintenance.
