Job Title: Foundry Manager / Foundry In-Charge Location: Kotambi, Vadodara Industry: Non-Ferrous Foundry / Metal Casting Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Foundry Manager / In-Charge to oversee and manage our entire foundry operations. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of sand casting, metal melting, and finishing processes, along with strong leadership skills to ensure high-quality production, timely delivery, and a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Control Plan daily/weekly/monthly production schedules to meet customer requirements. Allocate resources, manpower, and equipment effectively. Monitor progress and adjust schedules when required. Operations Management Supervise and coordinate melting, moulding, core making, fettling, and finishing operations. Ensure correct alloy composition and casting quality as per specifications. Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices. Quality Assurance Maintain product quality standards as per ISO/Marine/Class approvals. Coordinate with QC team for inspection, testing, and defect analysis. Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce rejection rates. Safety & Compliance Enforce safety protocols for handling molten metal and operating equipment. Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and occupational health regulations. Team Leadership Train, mentor, and motivate production teams. Maintain discipline, resolve grievances, and ensure smooth workflow. Maintenance Coordination Work with maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance of foundry equipment. Cost & Inventory Control Monitor raw material usage, scrap levels, and inventory management. Control operational costs while improving productivity. Qualifications & Skills: Diploma/Degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Production Engineering (preferred). 815 years of foundry experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role. Hands-on experience in sand casting (CO2, No-Bake, or Shell Moulding). Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a proven track record in managing production teams. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Control Plan daily/weekly/monthly production schedules based on orders. Allocate manpower, machines, and materials efficiently. Monitor production output and adjust schedules as needed. Operations Management Oversee end-to-end production processes (machining, fabrication, assembly, finishing, etc.). Qualifications & Skills: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering. 815 years experience in manufacturing, with at least 10 years in a production leadership role. Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, and shop-floor management. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using production software (ERP/MRP).
