Role & responsibilities 1. Lead Design & Prototyping : Design and develop innovative hardware systems, mechanical and electronics for defence applications, from concept sketches to functional prototypes. 2. Integrate Multi-Domain Technologies : Work at the intersection of mechanical systems, embedded electronics, and intelligent controls to build advanced systems like obstacle deflection and drone countermeasures. 3. Execute Mission-Critical R&D Projects: Take ownership of prototype development under flagship defence programs such as the MoDs IDEX initiative and the Indian Army's indigenous technology mandates. 4. Research & Proprietary/Novelty Engineering: Conduct technical research and experimental testing, contributing directly to patentable innovations and IP generation. 5. System Testing & Field Validation: Lead lab and on-ground validation of prototypes, ensuring ruggedness, performance, and compliance with military standards. 6. Rapid Fabrication & Deployment: Utilize modern fabrication techniques 3D printing, CNC, PCB design, and embedded coding, for quick turnaround of functional demonstrators. 7. Collaborate with Defence Ecosystem: Work directly with strategic partners like BEML, Southern Command, and innovation agencies to co-develop next-gen defence tech.
