Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing to achieve performance targets and leading the technology input into the root cause analysis of complex process/engineering issues. Your duties will include defining improvements and upgrades in existing processes, equipment, and technologies to enhance capacities and process efficiencies. Additionally, you will identify, justify, and prioritize plant improvements for PIOs, CAPEX, REVAMP projects, including major projects and support their implementation by: - Reviewing process-engineering documents during Basic Engineering and Detail Engineering phases - Evaluating external technologies for improvement schemes and new plants - Reviewing Process Design Packages of Technology Licensors - Preparing Design Basis documents and Process Design Packages for in-house improvement schemes - Participating in PHA reviews (HAZID / HAZOP) - Evaluating vendor technical proposals and conducting cost-benefit analysis - Reviewing vendor documents post order - Preparing and reviewing Operation Manuals, SOPs, and SOCs Furthermore, you will be involved in catalyst/chemicals/additives/fuels evaluation, auditing and benchmarking plant/product/energy performance, ensuring milestones for pilot/scale-up studies, and anticipating constraints/trends in technology and product applications. You will also participate in commercial plant trials, develop, validate, customize & maintain simulation/APC models, prepare final technology comparison reports, and engage in PSM activities. Additionally, you will coach/mentor and support the on-boarding and development of the GETs (technology). The key skills required for this role include: - Thorough knowledge of chemical engineering, codes, standards, and process technology - Ability to work independently on technical issues within the field of expertise - Effective communication and networking abilities - Good interpersonal and complex problem-solving skills - Expertise in process-related skills such as Process Design Review, Process Simulation, Pinch Analysis, CW Network, and Flare Network For this position, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical engineering, 8-12 years of relevant industrial experience with a strong technical background and good communication skills. A Reliance Certified Chemical Engineer (RCCE) certification would be advantageous, and a combination of experience in Operation and Technology is desirable.,
