Identifying areas of bottlenecks/ breakdown and taking steps to rectify through the application of troubleshooting techniques. Ensures all deliverable aligns with industry direction, standards, and best practices. Key Responsibilities: Erection and commissioning of electrical systems and field instrumentation. Operation, maintenance, and calibration of various field instruments (transmitters, valves, sensors, etc.). Troubleshooting of starters (DOL, RDOL, Star-Delta, Soft Starters) and VFD drives. Maintenance and overhauling of HT and LT motors up to 1.8 MW. Handling electrical equipment like transformers, ACBs, VCBs, EOT cranes, and belt conveyors. Expertise in MCCs with E3+ relays and DeviceNet communication. Skilled in interpreting electrical drawings, P&IDs, ladder logic, and interlocks. Maintenance of ESP systems and ash handling equipment. Proficient in communication protocols: DeviceNet, ControlNet, Modbus, and Foundation Fieldbus. Active involvement in breakdowns, shutdowns, and system improvement initiatives. Technical Qualities: Good understanding of Electrical Drawings, practical as well as theoretical knowledge of Different Electrical Equipment/Instruments like Furnace Transformers, Distribution & Lighting Transformers, ESP & ETP application Transformers, HT Panels, PCCs, MCCs, APFCR, UPS, VVVFDs Soft Starter Panels, etc. Good Knowledge of Automation System and Field Instruments. Good Knowledge of the Balance of Plant Equipment viz., Bag Filters, Weigh Feeders, Belt Weighers, Belt Conveyors, Air Compressor Systems, Pre-Heater Systems, etc.

Role & responsibilities Procurement Management: Oversee end-to-end procurement processes for plant equipment and materials. Ensure timely sourcing of components while maintaining cost-efficiency and quality standards. Work closely with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and evaluate performance. Maintenance & Project Supervision: Supervise maintenance activities including installation, preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, and troubleshooting. Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance. Plan and execute equipment installations, alignments, and grouting, particularly for heavy industrial machinery. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance departments to ensure seamless plant operations. Provide technical input for planning and scheduling maintenance shutdowns and overhauls. Support cost control initiatives and activity planning for ongoing and upcoming projects. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities and procurement transactions. Ensure adherence to ISO quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance. Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for continuous improvement. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 68 years of relevant experience in plant operations, preferably within steel, pellet, or heavy manufacturing sectors. Proficiency in: AutoCAD 2D and Solid Edge 3D for mechanical design and layout planning. Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting. ERP Systems such as Microsoft NAV and SAP HANA for procurement and operations tracking. Sound knowledge of mechanical systems including conveyor belts, rotary equipment, pumps, and hydraulics. Experience in implementing quality and maintenance procedures aligned with industry best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to fault tracking and breakdown resolution. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and team coordination.
