Aster Medcity is looking for Technician.Cardiology to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey As a Cardiology Technician at MIMS Hospital Kottakkal, your primary responsibility is to assist cardiologists and other healthcare professionals in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with cardiovascular conditions
You will work closely with the cardiology team to perform various tests, procedures, and examinations to assess and monitor patients' cardiac health Key Responsibilities:Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for cardiac tests and procedures by explaining the process, obtaining medical history, and addressing any concerns or questions Ensure patient comfort and safety during the tests Electrocardiography (ECG): Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) to record and analyze the electrical activity of the heart Apply electrodes to the patient's chest, limbs, and other designated areas, following standard protocols Operate ECG equipment and ensure accurate readings Stress Testing: Assist in conducting stress tests, such as treadmill or pharmacological stress tests, to evaluate cardiac function and detect abnormalities Monitor patients' vital signs, ECG readings, and symptoms during the tests Document and report any significant findings Holter Monitoring: Apply and remove Holter monitors on patients to record continuous ECG readings over a specific period (typically 24 to 48 hours) Instruct patients on wearing and maintaining the monitor, ensuring they understand the process Echocardiography Support: Assist cardiologists in performing echocardiograms, which use ultrasound technology to visualize the structure and function of the heart Prepare patients for the procedure, position them appropriately, and operate the equipment under the supervision of the cardiologist Cardiac Catheterization Support: Provide assistance during cardiac catheterization procedures, including preparing the catheterization lab, sterilizing equipment, and preparing contrast media Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with patient positioning and comfort during the procedure Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and cleanliness of cardiology equipment Follow safety protocols and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel Maintain inventory of necessary supplies and order replacements as needed Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document and maintain patient records, including test results, observations, and relevant information Enter data into electronic medical record (EMR) systems and generate reports for cardiologists and other healthcare providers
