Technician- Quality I

As a Quality Inspector at First Solar, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of products to ensure they meet specifications. This includes inspecting both sub-modules and finished modules, performing visual inspections at various stages of the process, and using basic measuring devices to compare against specifications. Your role will also involve assisting with audits, problem-solving, and providing feedback to Engineering and Manufacturing for corrective actions. You will be in charge of maintaining Quality Control Procedures and records according to Company Policy and ISO Standards. Effective communication and teamwork are essential aspects of this role as you will interface with other departments to support quality activities. Additionally, you will assist in training new Inspectors, conduct audits as per schedule, and ensure adherence to safety procedures and housekeeping standards. To excel in this position, you should have 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with previous inspection experience being desired. A Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent education is required. Your skills should include knowledge of Visual Inspection Criteria, excellent communication and attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, familiarity with Internal Audit Procedures and ISO standards, as well as proficiency in using tools such as Word, Excel, and measurement equipment like micrometers and calipers. In terms of physical requirements, you will need to be able to walk, climb stairs, lift up to 25 lbs, sit, stand, reach, handle objects, and perform various movements like stooping, kneeling, and bending. Specific vision abilities are also necessary for this role.
