Job Description

As a Technical Writer, your role will involve developing comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards. You will be expected to gain a deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content. Your responsibilities will include researching, outlining, writing, and editing content in close collaboration with software development and product management teams to understand Product requirements. Additionally, you will gather information from subject-matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation. It will be your responsibility to research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that adhere to organizational and legal standards and allow for easy data migration. You will also be tasked with developing content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, maintaining a consistent voice across all platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards. - Gain a deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content. - Research, outline, write, and edit content in collaboration with software development and product management teams. - Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation. - Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates adhering to organizational and legal standards. - Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability with a consistent voice. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Humanities/communications, or relevant technical field. - Firm understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and DDLC (Document Development Life Cycle). - Previous experience in software product development teams. - Experience in using any of the Documentation Platforms, Markdown Language Tools. - Experience in creating marketing content such as demo scripts, brochures, and white papers. - Experience with creative writing is an added advantage. - Exposure to programming or Application Development is a plus. In addition to the mentioned responsibilities and qualifications, the job requires: - Creating and maintaining clear, comprehensive documentation for technical products like Spring, Java, Angular, and Bootstrap, ensuring ease of use for developers and end-users. - Developing training materials, tutorials, and guides to effectively educate users on technical topics and product features. - Minimum 4 years of experience as an effective technical writer. - Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter. - Experience in writing Software product documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences. - Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail. - Exposure to Programming or Application Development using Java is beneficial. - Ability to handle multiple products simultaneously.
