Technical Writer, Google Cloud Storage

As a Technical Writer at Google Cloud, you will be responsible for planning, creating, and maintaining educational content to support engineering and user experience initiatives. Your primary focus will be on producing technical documentation for a technical audience, ensuring that complex topics are explained in a clear and concise manner that is useful to the intended audience. You should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in researching and writing documentation for developers and coders, managing customer and stakeholder expectations, planning documentation deliverables and milestones, and mitigating risks. Additionally, you should have experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform and databases, as well as related concepts. In this role, you will design, organize, and author technical content for the Google Cloud Backup and DR Service, with an emphasis on use cases and concepts. You will also be responsible for managing documentation projects, prioritizing requests, and collaborating with partner teams. Strong technical writing skills and leadership abilities are essential, as you will be expected to manage your own priorities and make progress with minimal guidance or supervision. Effective communication is key in this role, as you will need to establish work processes and strategies, organize work groups, manage expectations, and report status updates across teams.
