Job Description

As a Technical Officer (Pipelines) reporting to the Chief Port Engineer (CPE), your role involves maintaining cross-country pipelines and equipment, including those at Shipping Division's Jetty pipelines. You will assist the CPE in ensuring operational readiness of Single Point mooring facilities, Jetties, and Reliance owned tugs. Your responsibilities include overseeing regulatory compliance with PNGRB & OISD Guidelines for pipelines assets, coordinating planned maintenance activities with Reliance and Contractual workforce, and managing invoices and other techno-commercial contractual matters for review by CPE. Your duties also encompass preparing annual Spares and Services budget for pipelines & other assets, keeping the CPE informed of any areas of concern, and ensuring predictive/preventive maintenance of pipelines in alignment with OISD & PNGRB guidelines. Additionally, you will handle MOC & CAPEX preparation in SAP, supervise various site activities such as surveys and audits, participate in drills and public awareness programs, and oversee pipeline laying activities to ensure adherence to procedures. Furthermore, you will be responsible for raising PRs, conducting technical evaluations, managing supply and availability of stores and spares, maintaining records of maintenance activities, planning preventive maintenance, and adhering to budgetary allocations for each craft or unit. Any other tasks allocated by the Chief Port Engineer will also be part of your responsibilities.
