Technical Lead : (Azure Fabric

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership by collaborating with implementation partners to validate the design, architecture, and deployment of the Microsoft Fabric Data Platform
• Guide and mentor developers, data engineers, and analysts while setting standards for coding, data modelling, and solution design
• Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure data solutions using Microsoft Fabric products and services
• Lead the design and development of data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and processing of large datasets
• Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and security standards across the data platform
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture user stories, refine them into technical requirements, and maintain a prioritized backlog
• Work closely with DevOps teams to define and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
• Liaise with internal technology teams to ensure secure and appropriate access to systems and applications
• Partner with data analysts to maximize platform efficiency and business value
• Conduct code reviews and enforce quality assurance and best practices
• Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot pipeline and processing issues, and ensure system reliability
• Define and implement testing strategies, including automated and regression testing, to ensure data accuracy and reliability
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation covering architecture, processes, and workflows
• Provide training, knowledge transfer, and enablement sessions for technical teams and stakeholders

Job Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience implementing Microsoft Fabric
• Strong expertise in Azure data services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure SQL Database
• Extensive experience with data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline orchestration
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, Scala, and strong SQL skills
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, GitHub, or GitLab
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Solid understanding of data platform security, governance, and compliance standards
• Proven experience leading technical teams and managing complex, large-scale data projects
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles
• Prior experience leading end-to-end implementation of a cloud-based data platform
