Technical Engineer I

As a Technical Consultant (TC) working with the implementation team, your main role is to deliver implementation and/or consulting to projects in order to achieve successful on-time projects with client satisfaction. Your primary responsibilities include developing C# and PL/SQL code, as well as configuring Telerik reports to support client projects within the Clinisys Laboratory Solutions (CLS) LIMS platform. Key Responsibilities: - Develop custom code using PL/SQL to query and execute functions within the CLS LIMS platform, based on details provided by team members or clients. - Configure reports using Telerik Report Writer within the CLS LIMS platform, following instructions from team members or clients. - Perform alpha testing on the developed work to ensure it meets specified requirements and functions correctly within the CLS platform. - Demonstrate completed work to internal team members or clients as required. - Develop a deep understanding of CLS functionality and its data model to guide team members in achieving project goals within the platform. - Provide feedback for process improvements by monitoring client and departmental feedback. - Maintain a strong commitment to superior customer satisfaction throughout the customer relationship. - Resolve project issues in a timely manner and escalate to senior staff or management when necessary. - Collaborate with and mentor other Technical Consultants and Professional Services Consultants to enhance Clinisys product knowledge. - Organize and prioritize project tasks effectively to ensure timely completion. - Complete additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Healthcare, Chemistry/Biology, Life Sciences/Pharma, Forensics/Toxicology, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience. - 3+ years of experience working with a LIS or LIMS system. - 3+ years of experience with PL/SQL query writing (Oracle DB Knowledge preferred). - 3+ years of experience with C# programming. - 3+ years of experience developing LIS/LIMS reports using a common report writing tool (e.g., Crystal Reports, SSRS, etc.). Skills for Success: - Ability to work independently and manage project priorities effectively. - Strong understanding of client/laboratory workflow concepts in relation to software applications, with knowledge of interfaces. - Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with all levels of the organization. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to provide mentoring and consultation to enhance workflow processes and procedures. Physical Requirements: - Work is in a standard office setting with minimal health or safety hazards. - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. - Up to 25% travel may be required. - Moderate lifting/carrying 15-44 lbs; use of fingers, walking/standing 2-6 hours. - Exposure to hazardous materials or various weather conditions. - Travel to client sites may involve risks associated with healthcare organizations. - Adherence to customer location health and safety requirements.
