Technical Delivery Director-Transaction Banking

As a Vice President with over 18 years of experience, based in Chennai, your primary responsibility will be to provide technical and program leadership across Java-based platforms, Microservices, APIs, and integrations. You will drive engineering rigor to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of the platforms being delivered. You will oversee multi-stream programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and stakeholder alignment. Your role will involve implementing strong program governance, risk mitigation frameworks, and conducting regular cadence reviews. Managing large cross-functional technology teams, including developers, architects, QA, and DevOps, will be a key aspect of your role. You are expected to drive performance, foster innovation, and cultivate a culture of engineering excellence within the team. Engaging with C-level and senior stakeholders will be crucial for architecture reviews, setting technical direction, and developing delivery roadmaps. You will serve as the escalation point for key technology delivery issues. Championing DevOps, Agile/Scrum, and modern engineering principles, you will lead initiatives focused on code quality, CI/CD, observability, and automation to drive continuous improvement and best practices. Your core areas of expertise should include hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, Microservices architecture, and REST APIs. A deep understanding of platform engineering, systems integration, and regulatory compliance is essential. Your ability to scale large tech teams, drive modernization, and lead cloud-native transformations will be critical for success. To qualify for this role, you should hold a B.Tech in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least 18 years of progressive experience in product engineering, platform delivery, or fintech transformation. A strong technical background with hands-on or architectural exposure to Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and cloud platforms is required. Proficiency in Agile, DevOps, SAFe, and global delivery methodologies is expected, along with experience in handling high-volume, low-latency, mission-critical systems. PMP/Prince2 certification is preferred, and a willingness to travel as required is necessary.
