The successful candidate will design scalable, maintainable solutions, address long-standing technical debt, and drive best practices across the software development lifecycle. --- Key Responsibilities Lead the design and evolution of solution architectures across core trading and fixed income platforms. Evaluate and refactor existing legacy systems to support modular, service-based architectures. Develop architectural roadmaps and contribute to the long-term technology strategy aligned with business goals. Identify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecks across existing applications. Collaborate with development, DevOps, QA, and business teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. Establish architectural standards, patterns, and documentation practices to support maintainability and scalability. Mentor software engineers and foster a culture of high-quality engineering and continuous improvement. Conduct architectural reviews, code analysis, and proof-of-concept initiatives as needed. Ensure architecture decisions align with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements. --- Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in software development with at least 3 years in a software or solution architecture role. Expertise in modernizing legacy systems, including migration to microservices and cloud-native platforms. Strong proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and architectural frameworks. Deep understanding of RESTful API design, event-driven architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines. Hands-on experience with enterprise integration patterns and middleware technologies. Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot legacy codebases with little or no documentation. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevSecOps principles. --- Preferred Qualifications Experience in the financial services or trading domain.
