JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Engineer - Production Planning & Control (PPC) Reporting to: Team Leader - Operations Location: Chennai Position objective: To achieve 100 % Customer Supplier QCDS KRAs Achieve Customer Supplier 100% QCDS Prepare Sales plan with Dispatch plan as per customer requirement date. Prepare Material Requirement plan twice a month ( 25th & 1st of every month) Prepare Production plan and Raw Material Purchase and 2 Bin stock plan for FG and RM. Material procurement to ensure uninterrupted production. Prepare monthly 4 M plan Cost control / reduction Analyze material, manpower, inventory holding, transport costs and initiate measures for better cost management. Collaborate and support Production/NPD/ Quality and other stakeholders to achieve the targeted Production, Sales, OEE, wastages & Cost objectives of the company by reviewing continuously (4M & daily meetings etc.) Production Planning MIS Inventory Management – Maintenance of Stores & maintain minimum stock quantity of RM and FG Drive 5 S, Safety, SKS, Continuous Improvement and other Process Improvement activities. . Roles & Responsibilities: PRODUCTION PLANNING 1. Prepare weekly and monthly Production plan based on dispatch plan and existing inventory / stock. 2. Prepare weekly tool loading plan and 4 M plan. 3. Order receipt from customer for the month and acknowledgement for orders accepted to be sent to customers within 24 hours. 2. Prepare Sale and dispatch monthly plan. 3. Prepare 3 days firm plan and weekly sales & dispatch plan. 4. Coordinate with customers and suppliers for fulfillment of daily sales plan (100% QCDS). 5. Continuously monitor sales – plan vs actual and take corrective measures to ensure that sales target is met. 6. Customer wise sales analysis for last 6 months (Trend analysis) MATERIAL MANAGEMENT 1. Prepare monthly Material requirement plan. 2. Procurement of materials as per the needs of production schedule. 3. Issue delivery schedule to vendors. 4. Continuously follow up with vendors for timely delivery of materials to ensure uninterrupted production. 5. To continuously analyze the raw material consumption pattern and implement initiatives to control wastages and reduce cost. 6. Plan vehicles to maximize collection of materials and delivery to save costs. 7. To drive 3 C initiatives. PPC MIS ( to assist Team Leader PPC in preparation of the following Reports) 1.
