Description
The Tech Lead Power BI position at ValueMomentums Engineering Center in Hyderabad requires 7-10 years of experience and expertise in Advanced SQL, Power BI, Cognos, and SSRS. As a Tech Lead Power BI, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence reports and dashboards using Power BI and related BI tools. Your role will involve converting business requirements into technical specifications, creating visual interactive reports, identifying KPIs, and analyzing data to support decision-making. You will also be mentoring other BI teammates and providing end-user support. Key Responsibilities: - Understanding complex business requirements in the BI context and designing data models - Converting business requirements into technical specifications - Creating dashboards and visual interactive reports using Power BI - Identifying KPIs and monitoring them consistently - Analyzing data to support decision-making - Designing, developing, and deploying Power BI scripts - Mentoring BI teammates and providing end-user support Requirements: - Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining reports in Power BI and Cognos - Knowledge of using Data Catalogs like Purview, Cognos Data Manager, etc. - Experience with MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, Power BI, and DAX - Familiarity with Cached Architecture (Qlik, Tableau cache data) is a plus - Experience with source code management tools such as GIT - Experience in the insurance or financial industry preferred - Experience delivering BI solutions within Agile and DevOps methodologies - Strong communication skills and attention to detail in high-pressure situations ValueMomentum is a leading solutions provider for the global property & casualty insurance industry, offering advisory, development, implementation, and maintenance services.
