Team Manager, General Ledger

As a Team Manager at EG, you will play a crucial role in overseeing core accounting functions in Mangalore, India. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records, managing reconciliations, and ensuring timely month-end and year-end closings. Your main focus will be implementing best practices for financial accuracy and efficiency, training a skilled team, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities: - Establish the General Ledger function in India by transitioning processes from Denmark and aligning them with global standards. - Manage core General Ledger tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions. - Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. - Recruit, train, and mentor a team of General Ledger Specialists. - Develop and implement efficient workflows to enhance accuracy and reduce closing timelines. - Collaborate with IT and other shared service teams to ensure seamless ERP system integration and process optimization. - Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with IFRS and other relevant standards. - Manage the employees, conduct 1-1 conversations, and employee growth plans. Qualifications Required: - Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both spoken and written. - Highly experienced in Accounting, General Ledger processes, including reconciliations, closings, and financial reporting. - Familiar with accounting standards such as IFRS and adept at ensuring compliance. - Skilled in ERP systems and their integration into finance operations. - Proficient in Excel. - Analytical, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to identify trends and insights into financial data. - Experienced in managing teams, with a proven track record of leadership in international or shared service environments. - Adaptable, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
