As a Team Manager at INOPC-HVDC in Chennai, your role is crucial in overseeing team operations, resource allocation, competency development, and personnel growth. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers is essential. You will have the opportunity to engage in the global market, potentially involving exciting travels. Additionally, you will play a key role in local management, providing valuable insights within the organization. Analyzing and managing risks, alongside handling tender calculations and pricing models, will be part of your responsibilities. Your impact will be significant through: - Strategic resource planning and allocation based on tender and project forecasts - Ensuring departmental KPIs are met, such as on-time delivery and productivity - Meeting financial budgets and assessing risks and opportunities in techno-economic offerings - Regular reviews with project teams, cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers - Recruitment aligned with headcount budgets, personnel assessments, and target setting for direct reports - Identifying and implementing people development areas and succession planning - Contributing to strategic initiatives and local strategy development - Driving operational and competence development within the local organization - Upholding Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for actions, caring for colleagues, and the business To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - Minimum 2 years of experience as a Line Manager/Team Leader with a team size of at least 20 members - Basic knowledge in HVDC/FACTS/Substation - Proficiency in Control & Protection design - Understanding of the end-to-end process of control & protection, from cubicle design to factory testing - Familiarity with SCADA, HMI, and Cybersecurity of Substations is preferred - Strong command of the English language At Hitachi Energy, we are committed to supporting individuals with disabilities.
