As a Fund Accountant, your role involves recording daily journal entries for cash and bank transactions with a strong focus on accuracy and turnaround time (TAT). You will be responsible for preparing Capital Calls and Distributions in line with fund accounting deliverables and conducting regular cash/bank reconciliations to resolve any discrepancies. Additionally, your key responsibilities include preparing quarterly financial statements, monitoring cash flows, and overseeing partner capital statements and waterfall schedules. You will also handle monthly valuations, fund drawdowns, distributions, and fund-level expenses, ensuring timely and accurate execution of capital calls and distributions. Your qualifications and skills for this role include a Bachelor's/Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with 6+ years of experience in private equity or fund accounting. You should have a strong understanding of fund structures, capital flows, financial reporting, reconciliations, and private equity operations. Proficiency in accounting standards, financial instruments, investment structures, waterfall models, carried interest, and capital allocations is essential. Advanced Excel skills are required, and experience with fund accounting software such as Investran, eFront, or Geneva is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills are also important for this role. Preferably, you should have exposure to international fund structures and regulatory reporting, as well as experience working with global private equity or asset management clients. Your ability to manage deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment will be crucial in this role.
