Key responsibilities include overseeing the design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring of data pipelines, adapting to changing needs in a fast-paced engineering environment, engaging in strategic planning with senior management and product management, evolving team processes, policies, and metrics for efficiency, setting high standards for code quality and operational maturity, recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and coaching Data Engineers, developing growth plans for team members, and providing constructive feedback for performance improvement. Requirements for the role include the ability to provide constructive feedback, experience in communicating with users and technical teams, knowledge of data engineering best practices, investment data, conflict resolution, system design principles, and data pipeline tools and technologies. The role also requires 10+ years of data engineering experience, 3+ years of team management experience, investment data knowledge, experience with professional services, Business Intelligence tools, and Logical Data Models. An undergraduate degree in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or related fields is required.
