Role & responsibilities:

Lab Assistant / Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

Academic/Studio Support:

• Assist in conducting lab sessions, workshops, and practical classes under faculty guidance.
• Guide students in the use of animation, editing, and compositing software like

  Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, Maya, After Effects

  , etc.
• Support student projects by providing feedback on technical execution (lighting, rigging, rendering, editing, etc.).
• Execute ongoing promotions
• Maintain attendance and records for practical sessions.
  

Technical/Lab Management:

• Set up hardware and software for animation, VFX, and digital design classes.
• Manage and troubleshoot systems (Mac/PC), graphic tablets, cameras, lights, and audio-visual equipment.
• Install, update, and maintain relevant software and plugins.
• Coordinate with the IT and admin team to ensure smooth functioning of lab infrastructure.
  

Promotional Content Creation:

• Design and execute

  promotional materials

  including

  social media posts, reels, motion graphics, and videos

  to showcase student work, departmental activities, and institutional achievements.
• Collaborate with faculty and the marketing team to plan a

  consistent social media calendar

  for the Animation & VFX department.

Administrative Support:

• Assist in preparing course materials, tutorials, and documentation.
• Provide support during department events, exhibitions, and student presentations.
• Manage student submissions and portfolios in digital archives.
  

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Animation, VFX, Multimedia, or a related field.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D animation software (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Blender, etc.)
• Familiarity with production pipelines in animation and post-production.
• Basic understanding of stop motion, motion graphics, and digital art tools.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Freshers/12 years of experience in an academic or studio environment.
• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and working with students.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  

Knowledge of AV equipment, DSLR cameras, and lighting setups is a plus.
