The Asia Case Research Centre (ACRC) is a research centre affiliated with the Faculty of Business and Economics at The University of Hong Kong. We work with scholars from universities and institutions within and outside the region, and enjoy close ties with the business community. Applicants should hold a master’s or higher degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Economics, or a closely related discipline, along with at least three to nine years of proven experience in a position involving staff supervision. Familiarity with the Case Teaching Method in business education, as well as strong research, writing, and organizational skills are required. An excellent command of written English is essential, and native-level written Chinese is an advantage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and interviews. Applicants with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered as Executive Officer. The appointee will be responsible for building trusted senior-level relationships with faculty, case writers, and business leaders. They will work closely with faculty to develop case studies aligned with the curriculum of the Faculty of Business and Economics, manage the case development process, and edit case studies. The CLE Programme of the Faculty of Law runs a Free Legal Advice Scheme (“FLAS”) on HKU Campus under the Duty Lawyer Service, offering preliminary legal advice to members of the public having actual legal problems involving the laws of Hong Kong as to their legal position. In exceptional and deserving cases, the CLE Programme may offer further assistance to the participants of the scheme to assist them to obtain legal aid or pro bono legal representation (primarily in legal aid appeals in civil cases and in criminal appeals).
