Merchandiser- urgently required kanpur, uttar pradesh 5 years INR 1.8 - 4.8 Lacs P.A. On-site Full Time

The Merchandiser is responsible for managing the end-to-end merchandising process, including product development, sampling, costing, order execution, and coordination between suppliers, buyers, and internal teams. The role ensures timely delivery, quality compliance, and efficient communication throughout the production cycle. Key Responsibilities 1. Product Development & Sampling Understand buyer requirements and create product briefs. Coordinate with design, sampling, and production teams for sample development (proto, fit, PP samples). Ensure samples meet quality, styling, and measurement specifications. Follow up on sample approvals from buyers. 2. Costing & Negotiation Prepare accurate cost sheets based on fabric, trims, labor, and overheads. Negotiate prices with suppliers, vendors, and buyers. Assist in finalizing order confirmations and contracts. 3. Order Management Manage the complete order lifecycle—from sample approval to final shipment. Prepare and update T&A (Time & Action) plans and track all processes. Monitor production plans, fabric availability, trims status, and approvals. 4. Coordination & Communication Serve as the key communication link between buyers, suppliers, and internal teams. Communicate daily updates on order progress, issues, and approvals. Coordinate with QA/QC teams on inspections and quality standards. 5. Production & Supply Chain Monitoring Track production status to ensure on-time delivery. Ensure raw material procurement aligns with production schedules. Identify delays or risks and take corrective action. 6. Quality & Compliance Ensure all products meet buyer quality standards. Coordinate with quality teams for fabric checks, in-line audits, and final inspections. Maintain compliance requirements (social, safety, technical). 7. Documentation & Reporting Maintain order files, approvals, and correspondences. Prepare internal and buyer reports (WIP, production status, shipment plan). Ensure correct documentation for shipping, invoicing, and logistics. Skills & Qualifications Educational Qualifications Bachelor’s or Diploma in Textiles, Fashion Technology, Apparel Merchandising, or related fields. Required Skills Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and production processes. Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/MIS systems. Ability to multitask and work under pressure with tight deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience for multiple positions: 1–5 years for Merchandiser 5–10 years for Senior Merchandiser Experience in export houses or textile manufacturing preferred. *Pls.
