Role & responsibilities Job Description for Civil 3D Location: Chennai - Thinkbig Software ODC. Exp : 4-8 years . Notice Period : Immediate to 1 month Role : Remote (1 month training in Chennai) Positions : 20 . Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Civil 3D Modeler with 4 to 8 years of experience in infrastructure Linear projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Civil 3D modelling, a deep understanding of dry and wet utilities, and experience in content catalogue creation. This role involves preparing engineering and shop drawings, conducting clash detection, and coordinating closely with the lead technical engineer to ensure timely and accurate project deliverables. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and manage Civil 3D models for infrastructure projects, with a focus on both dry and wet utilities. • Create and maintain content catalogues to support project requirements and standards. • Prepare detailed engineering drawings from models, including basic arrangements, layouts, profiles, and sections. • Produce shop drawings in accordance with project specifications and authority requirements. • Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts within the models using relevant software tools. • Coordinate with the lead technical engineer and other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of all deliverables. • Ensure that all drawings and models meet quality standards and project requirements. • Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks and deadlines. Qualifications and Experience: • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. • 4 to 8 years of experience in Civil 3D modelling for infrastructure projects, with a strong • background in the Middle East. • Proven experience in content catalogue creation and shop drawing preparation. • Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant software tools. Familiarity with clash detection tools such as Navisworks is a plus. • Strong knowledge of dry and wet utilities and their modelling requirements. • Ability to prepare engineering drawings including layouts, profiles, and sections from models. • Demonstrated experience in coordinating with technical teams and managing project deliverables.
