Key Responsibilities: Production Planning & Execution Develop and implement production schedules to meet delivery deadlines. Ensure optimal utilization of resources (manpower, machinery, material). Coordinate with Planning, Purchase, Design, and QA departments. Process Optimization Drive continuous improvement initiatives. Reduce production costs and waste without compromising on quality. Implement best practices in assembly lines and testing processes for cooling appliances. Team Management Supervise and mentor production teams, line supervisors, and technicians. Ensure adequate training and skill development for team members. Monitor workforce productivity and resolve any performance issues. Quality Assurance Collaborate with QA/QC teams to maintain product quality standards.
Location: Nashik, Maharashtra Experience: 12+ Years Industry: Metal Alloy / Metal Pipes Manufacturing Reports to: Plant Head Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager with over 12 years of expertise in managing hydraulic presses, transfer presses, using trimming/ chamfering machines etc. He should have knowledge of using calibration instruments within a metal pipe manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine shop management, machine maintenance, and people leadership. This role demands ensuring the desired production output, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Production Management: Oversee daily production operations using hydraulic, manual and transfer presses to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing of metal pipe components. Plan, organize, and manage production schedules to meet the desired production output targets. Monitor and control production processes to maintain high-quality standards and minimize wastage. Machine Shop & Maintenance Management: Manage the maintenance and upkeep of machinery, including hydraulic presses, manual presses, and associated machinery to ensure minimal downtime. Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Work closely with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues promptly. People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop production and maintenance teams to enhance productivity and ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols. Conduct performance appraisals, provide training, and foster a collaborative and motivated workforce. Implement workforce planning and shift scheduling to optimize manpower utilization. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements within production and maintenance operations. Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and other best practices to enhance productivity. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all production activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement in workplace safety. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate production reports, machine maintenance records, and other documentation as required. Prepare and present regular production performance reports to senior management. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred. Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in production management within metal pipe manufacturing. Extensive hands-on experience with hydraulic presses, manual presses, and instrumentation. Strong knowledge of machine shop operations and machine maintenance practices. Proven track record Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent communication and reporting skills.
