Role & responsibilities Tool Design: Design and develop progressive tooling for sheet metal components used in high-volume production. Engineering Support: Provide engineering support for tool design, development, and troubleshooting for progressive die sets, dies, punches, and related tooling components. CAD Modeling: Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Siemens NX) to create detailed 2D/3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings of progressive dies. Tooling Optimization: Perform analysis and suggest improvements to tooling designs for better efficiency, cost reduction, and enhanced production throughput. Material Selection: Collaborate with material engineers to select appropriate materials for dies and tools, considering factors like metal type, hardness, and stamping characteristics. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of tooling designs, revisions, and modifications. Prepare reports on design performance, costs, and project timelines.Preferred candidate profile Education: Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in progressive tooling design for sheet metal stamping.
