Fit and assemble components of dies and molds using hand tools, machines, and precision measuring instruments. Weld repair and modify tooling and die components (TIG/MIG), ensuring minimal distortion and high precision. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs to fabricate and repair tooling components accurately. Perform grinding, machining, and surface finishing to meet required tolerances and surface finishes. Disassemble, inspect, and repair worn or damaged dies and molds. Collaborate with toolmakers, machinists, and engineers to solve tooling issues and improve die/mold performance. Maintain proper records of tool repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance. Operate Tool room equipment such as surface grinders, lathes, milling machines, and drill presses as needed. Follow safety procedures and ensure a clean and organized work area.
