Talend Senior Developer

Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Developer to design, build, and optimize enterprise data integration solutions using Talend. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Talend Data Integration / Talend Cloud, strong SQL/database knowledge, and proven experience in developing ETL/ELT processes for data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills, performance tuning capabilities, and the ability to work in an agile team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

Develop, test, and deploy ETL/ELT jobs using Talend Data Integration / Talend Cloud.

Build scalable, efficient, and reusable data pipelines to support data warehouses, data lakes, and real-time processing.

Translate business and technical requirements into high-quality Talend jobs.

Optimization & Performance

Tune Talend jobs for high performance and efficiency.

Implement error-handling, logging, and monitoring frameworks.

Optimize SQL queries and database interactions.

Collaboration & Support

Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and BI developers.

Provide technical support and resolve production issues.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.

Quality & Governance

Ensure data quality, consistency, and security in integration processes.

Follow enterprise data governance, metadata, and compliance guidelines.

Maintain detailed technical documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data integration and ETL development.

3+ years of hands-on Talend experience (Talend Open Studio, Talend Data Fabric, or Talend Cloud).

Strong SQL skills and experience with databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

Experience with APIs, REST/SOAP services, and message queues (Kafka, JMS, MQ).

Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data lakes.

Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with real-time / streaming ETL using Talend or Kafka.

Exposure to Talend Data Quality, Data Catalog, or MDM.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.

Relevant certifications (Talend, AWS/Azure/GCP, or Data Engineering).
