· Create and optimize CNC programs for CNC machines based on engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications. · Select appropriate cutting tools, toolholders, and fixtures for each machining operation. · Set up CNC machines, including loading materials, securing workpieces, and selecting program offsets. · Monitor the CNC machines during operation to ensure the quality and precision of machined parts. · Conduct in-process inspections and measurements to verify conformance to specifications. · Perform tool changes and tool adjustments as required during machining operations. · Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines to ensure their continued performance. · Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, tooling, and machine setup sheets. · Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. · Ensure that all machined parts meet quality standards and specifications. · Train and mentor junior machinists and machine operators.
