Job Role : Manager (Marine) Job Summary: The Marine Manager – Insurance Surveyor will oversee marine insurance survey operations, ensuring accurate assessment of marine losses, claims, and risk management. The role requires in-depth knowledge of marine insurance policies, claims handling, and excellent analytical skills to provide recommendations and reports to clients and insurers. Key Responsibilities: · Conduct surveys and assessments of marine losses, damages, and claims including cargo, hull, and liability insurance. · Evaluate and document the cause, extent, and value of losses accurately. · Liaise with clients, insurers, and brokers to provide professional survey reports and recommendations. · Ensure compliance with applicable laws, insurance regulations, and company policies. · Negotiate settlements with claimants and insurers within authority limits. · Provide technical guidance and support to junior surveyors and team members. · Prepare detailed reports, risk evaluations, and presentations for management and clients. · Maintain up-to-date knowledge of marine insurance policies, industry practices, and legal requirements. · Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve claims efficiently. · Represent the company in professional forums and client meetings as required. Qualification & Experience . Bachelor's degree in Engineering ,Law, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus · Professional certification in insurance or marine survey (preferred). · Minimum 5–10 years of experience in marine insurance survey and claims handling. · Experience in managing a team of surveyors and handling large-scale claims is an advantage. Other Requirements: · Willingness to travel extensively, including port visits and field inspections. · Strong attention to detail and high integrity in handling sensitive information.
