Requirements Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and self-reliant IT Support Engineer to take full ownership of day-to-day IT operations across end-user support, Microsoft 365 services, infrastructure, networking, and security. This role is ideal for someone with a broad technical background who can work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the smooth running of all IT systems and services. The successful candidate will be the go-to expert for both support and systems tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities End-User Support & Microsoft 365: Provide advanced Level 1 and 2 support across end-user hardware, software, and mobile devices ensuring SLA compliance and quality resolution Oversee device lifecycle management (laptops/desktops), imaging, and deployment processes Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Azure AD, Defender for Endpoint. Ensure device compliance, patching, and security via Microsoft Endpoint Manager. Automate user lifecycle and improve support processes around onboarding/offboarding. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding/offboarding, identity lifecycle, and automation. Server & Infrastructure Management Administer Windows Server environments , including: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP. Perform server patching, monitoring, and backup operations. Support virtualization platforms and basic storage/network integrations as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve server-side issues and performance bottlenecks Networking & Security Configure and support network equipment including managed switches, VLANs, and basic routing.. Maintain and support perimeter security using Sophos XG/UTM firewalls (policies, VPNs, remote access). Monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents, and support implementation of endpoint protection policies. Contribute to internal security awareness and proactive vulnerability management. Operations & Continuous Improvement Maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles. Contribute to IT projects, including migrations, upgrades, and rollouts.. Proactively identify recurring issues and propose scalable solutions. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in IT support and infrastructure operations. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including modern desktop, email, collaboration, and device management. Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Networking experience with switches, VLANs, and firewall systems. Hands-on experience with Sophos firewall and Microsoft Defender or similar security tools. Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
