Systems Architect

As a member of the GalaxEye team, you will play a crucial role in the optimization and development of data processing software for our cutting-edge Space-Tech innovations. Your responsibilities will include optimizing software for low-power and low-latency computing, architecting software for future GalaxEye hardware and software advancements, as well as developing, reviewing, testing, and debugging Linux device drivers. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our operations team to ensure that our systems meet their needs and enhance the operational experience. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering, along with 1-3 years of relevant work experience. Proficiency in Python and at least one systems programming language such as C, C++, or Rust is essential. A strong understanding of operating system internals, particularly Linux, is required, along with experience in common hardware protocols/interfaces like PCIe, Ethernet, and I2C. Familiarity with networking protocols like TCP/UDP and Ethernet, as well as experience in writing algorithms, data structures, and multi-threaded software, are also key qualifications. Preferred skills that would be advantageous for this position include knowledge of GPUs, ML accelerators, power management, high-performance networking, and performance optimization. Experience with safety standards such as DO-178B/C, ISO26262, or similar would be a plus.
