System Engineer (Obsolescence)

As a Linux System Administrator at our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Linux servers, middleware, and storage infrastructure in the APAC region. Your primary focus will be collaborating with various teams to ensure the successful implementation of obsolescence projects while adhering to security guidelines and regulatory requirements. Your main responsibilities will include supporting and maintaining technologies such as RHEL 7/8, Middleware (Weblogic / MQSeries / Control M), Storage (Netapp / EMC), Backup and Restore technologies, Satellite, Ansible, and IDM at the Asia perimeter. You will lead and work closely with Linux and Windows teams, IT Security, and application teams on obsolescence projects, ensuring the removal of End of Life (EOL) OS and applications through migration or decommissioning. Additionally, you will be responsible for resolving vulnerability issues effectively and maintaining proper documentation for deployed solutions. Key Requirements for this role include solid experience with RHEL 7/8, hands-on experience with RHEL in-place upgrades and migrations, experience with NAS and SAN (EMC/Netapp), experience with Middleware technologies (Weblogic / MQSeries / Control-M), and experience with Hadoop. Windows 2019/2022 administration experience is considered an advantage. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of Linux administration experience, preferably in the financial industry.
