Job Title: Store In-Charge – Pesticides & Agricultural Products Location: Varanasi Reporting To: Operations Manager / Store Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and responsible Store In-Charge to oversee daily operations of our pesticide and agro-products store. The ideal candidate should have experience in inventory management, compliance with safety and chemical handling regulations, and customer service in an agricultural or related setting. Key Responsibilities:Store Operations & Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels of pesticides, fertilizers, seeds, and other agri-inputs. Conduct regular stock checks and physical inventory audits. Receive, inspect, and record incoming deliveries and returns. Ensure proper storage conditions according to product safety guidelines (e.g., temperature, segregation). Compliance & Safety: Adhere to government regulations for storage and handling of hazardous/agrochemicals. Ensure that MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) are available and updated. Implement safety measures including protective gear, fire safety, and spill control protocols. Keep records of expiry dates and ensure proper disposal of expired/damaged products. Customer Interaction & Sales Support: Assist customers in selecting the right products for their needs. Provide technical guidance on pesticide usage, dosage, and precautions if trained. Issue sales invoices and manage point-of-sale operations when needed. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or digital systems. Generate daily/weekly/monthly stock and sales reports. Coordinate with procurement teams for replenishment of stock. Store Cleanliness & Organization: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained. Label shelves and ensure clear segregation of chemical categories. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field is a plus. 2–3 years of experience in retail or agri-input store management preferred. Knowledge of pesticides, fertilizers, and agrochemical safety standards. Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Inventory Software). Good communication and customer service skills. Physically fit and able to handle lifting and moving of products. Desirable Qualities: Certification in chemical safety or pesticide handling (if applicable). Familiarity with local agricultural practices and seasonal product demand. Trustworthy, organized, and detail-oriented.
