About Us At Aero Robotics , we are building the next generation of autonomous robotic systems for wind turbine maintenance . Our mission is to replace risky, expensive, and time-consuming manual inspections with AI-powered robots that deliver precision, safety, and efficiency at scale. We are already working with some of the largest energy companies in India and Europe, developing robotic arms and crawlers that can perform ultrasonic testing, blade inspections, and predictive maintenance without human risk. Aero Robotics is positioned to become a leader in transforming renewable energy operations worldwide. Role Overview As a Robotics Mechatronics Intern , you will be involved in the design, prototyping, and testing of robotic arms and crawler systems used for wind turbine inspection and maintenance. You’ll work on mechanical systems, actuation, and structural design, while collaborating with software and AI engineers to bring complete robotic solutions to life. Responsibilities Design and prototype mechanical components for robotic arms and crawler systems Support actuation, kinematics, and structural integration of robotic hardware Work on CAD design (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, or similar) for robotic systems Assist in hardware-software integration with sensors and controllers Conduct lab and field tests of robotic prototypes to ensure reliability and safety Collaborate with the software team on inspection and maintenance use cases Contribute to improving process automation and system scalability Requirements Basic experience with Robotics, Automation, or Mechatronics Hands-on skills in CAD design, prototyping, and fabrication Understanding of control systems, actuators, and kinematics Familiarity with sensors and embedded hardware (IMUs, motor drivers, controllers) Knowledge of robotic systems and process automation Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field Nice to Have Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) or structural simulations Exposure to robotic crawler or arm design projects Knowledge of additive manufacturing / rapid prototyping Experience with material selection for lightweight but durable designs What You’ll Gain Hands-on experience with real robotic hardware deployed in the renewable energy sector Mentorship from founders and senior engineers with global industry experience Opportunity to transition into a full-time role after internship Contribute to a high-impact project tackling global sustainability challenges A chance to be part of an innovative project that will be filed and deployed globally Job Type: Internship Contract length: 6 months Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month Application Question(s): Are you willing to travel to wind turbine sites for onsite testing and hardware deployment when required? Experience: ROS/ROS2: 1 year (Preferred) Gazebo: 1 year (Preferred) Industrial Robotics: 1 year (Preferred) Location: Andheri East, Mumbai, Maharashtra (Required) Work Location: In person
