In This Role, You Will You will be hands-on reconciling and performing daily operational tasks. You will be responsible for helping the day-to-day running of the trading desks for Susquehanna which will entail position reconciliations, ensuring trades are captured in an efficient and timely manner, and ensuring positions are accurate and reconciled to external brokers. You will also provide profit and loss estimates for the day’s activity. The role requires an understanding of financial instruments especially equities, futures and equity derivatives, as the successful candidate will be working with experienced traders in the financial sector. Knowing how to work directly with traders and having good working relationships is essential. What You'll Do Compile/reconcile trades, transactions and positions. Prepare and submit delivery instructions for proprietary trading. Assist with managing trading positions, margins, trades, corporate actions, P&L and treasury management. Offer investment analysis and market commentary to our trading desks. Keep abreast of exchange/SEBI guidelines in relation to broking, clearing, trading, and risk management. Maintaining and managing operational processes as per regulatory framework to ensure exchange ad regulatory compliance. Use of algorithmic trading tools under instruction from traders. Update and manage all exchange trading systems, proprietary trading applications, and excel spreadsheets. Act as the key liaison between desk traders and clearers, brokers, exchanges and all internal departments. Take ownership of desk projects and initiatives. In conjunction with compliance manage any regulatory enquiries and audit requests. Manage any periodic regulatory and exchange reporting requirements What We're Looking For What we’re looking for 3 + years’ experience working in the financial markets arena. Investment knowledge of Asian Financial markets, specifically India. Thorough knowledge of equity and equity derivative products. Worked with Bloomberg and proficient in Excel. Ability to build strong and positive relationships both internally and with broker contacts. Ability to promote new ideas and solutions. Confidence to escalate analysis and be proactive to drive changes. Works well with a team and can build strong relationships with team members. Maintains strong organisational skills and meticulous record-keeping as well as fostering efficiency and accuracy to complete tasks and follow process. Ability to prioritise based on materiality and risk considerations. Ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems. Analytical mindset when tackling issues. Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-moving, highly intellectual environment. Must be a self-starter, quick learner, and resourceful in solving problems. Overview Susquehanna is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join the trading technology team. In this role, you will perform support, deployment and automate tasks related to the management of Susquehanna's trading systems throughout the Asia Pacific region. The successful candidate should have an extensive knowledge of the Indian Market & Exchanges (NSE, BSE) including testing & certification procedures for RMS, Algo Approval and related processes. Possess thorough knowledge of Risk Controls, Regulations and Corporate Actions, especially about the Indian exchanges. Experience and knowledge of other exchanges/markets will be highly regarded. The position offers the opportunity to be involved in scripting and automation tasks to improve the monitoring, management, and deployment of trading systems on both the Windows and Linux operating systems and gives you exposure to the state-of-the-art trading systems. Minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in the Financial Industry particularly trading, market making, options, market data, OMS, and/or other related systems. Must have strong technical skills in scripting, Python, PowerShell, C#, or other programming languages. Experience with working with instrument static data and/or other Market Data systems & protocols Experience in both Windows and Linux operating systems Experience in messaging systems, and experience debugging network protocols such as TCP, multicast, would be highly regarded. Degree with a major in Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
